Sega
Sega is a Japanese video game developer and publisher, headquartered in Tokyo, with development divisions behind Sonic the Hedgehog, the Like a Dragon series and Football Manager.
Sega was founded in 1960 and spent its early decades in arcade machines and home consoles before moving to software alone. Today it develops and publishes games for console, PC and mobile and belongs to Sega Sammy Holdings.
Development is organised in divisions, among them RGG Studio for the Like a Dragon series and Sonic Team. Atlus, Rovio Entertainment and the animation house Marza belong to the group as well. Outside Japan, Sega of America in Burbank, California, and Sega Europe handle publishing and regional development for their markets.
