People Can Fly was founded in Warsaw in 2002, belonged to Epic Games from 2007 to 2015 and has been independent since then. Its games include Painkiller, Bulletstorm, Gears of War: Judgment and Outriders.

The studio works from several locations: Warsaw, Rzeszów and Łódź in Poland, Newcastle in the United Kingdom, New York and Montréal. Further AAA projects are in production.
