Spiele-Palast GmbH

The studio builds and runs digital versions of traditional card games, free to play, against real opponents rather than against software. The games run in the browser and as apps on phones and tablets, and each one has its own platform with ratings, tables and a player community around it.

Because the titles are long-running services rather than releases, the work centres on backend systems, matchmaking, moderation and the steady extension of games that have existed for years. The portfolio covers the German card game canon, from Skat and Doppelkopf to Rommé, Canasta, Schafkopf and Binokel.
