Translation QA
Translation QA is the review step that checks a localised game in context: wording, terminology, length and whether a line still fits the screen.
A translated string can be correct and still wrong in the game. Translation QA is the pass that catches it: a term that changes between the menu and the tutorial, a line that overflows its button, a formal register used where the character is rude, a placeholder that produces nonsense when the number is one. The work is done in the running build with a test plan, not in a spreadsheet, because most of these faults are only visible in place.
It pairs with culturalization, which asks whether content works for a market at all, and with localisation management, which owns schedules, vendors and glossaries. Reviewers typically work into their native language and log findings like any other QA defect, with a reference to the string and a suggested fix.
Postings asking for this skill expect both language judgement and QA discipline: reproducible reports, consistent terminology and the patience to retest after a build.
