11 bit studios

11 bit studios was founded in Warsaw in September 2010 by developers from CD Projekt and Metropolis Software. The first title was the tower defence game Anomaly: Warzone Earth (2011); the studio became widely known for This War of Mine (2014), which puts the player on the civilian side of a siege, and for the city builder Frostpunk (2018) and its sequel Frostpunk 2 (2024). The Alters followed in 2025.

The studio is listed on the Warsaw Stock Exchange and employed 299 people in 2025. Alongside its own development it publishes games by other studios. Frostpunk 1886, a new entry in the series, is in production.
