Full-Stack Developer
Full-stack developers in games build the web and service side of a studio: player-facing pages, live-ops tools and the back ends behind them.
Game studios need a lot of software that is not the game. Account and store pages, companion sites, support portals, the dashboards that live-ops and content teams use every day, and the services that feed all of them. A full-stack developer owns such a feature end to end: the interface, the API behind it, the data model underneath, and the behaviour of the whole thing once real traffic arrives.
That breadth is the point of the role. Instead of handing a contract between two teams, one person decides what lives in the client and what lives in the service, and carries the consequences. Postings therefore pair a front-end stack with a server language, a database and enough operational knowledge to debug a slow query or a failing deploy.
Where a studio wants depth on one side, it advertises for a Frontend Developer or a Backend Developer instead; this title is for the work that crosses the line.
