Game Designer
Game Designer jobs in this list split by what is being designed: systems and economy, monetisation, dialogue and quests, and in one case the behaviour of a language model inside a game.
The job title is the same across these adverts, the work is not. A systems and economy designer tunes the numbers a free-to-play game runs on: sinks, sources, progression curves and the pacing of rewards. A monetisation designer decides what is sold and when it is offered. A narrative-leaning designer writes dialogue and quest structure. One posting here is for a designer working with large language models, which is new enough that no two studios define it the same way.
Spreadsheets and documents are the medium in every case. Most adverts ask for a design document a programmer can build from, and for the willingness to playtest afterwards and change the numbers that did not work.
