Mobile Games
Mobile games are built for phones and tablets, which changes almost everything: session length, input, performance budgets, store rules and how an update reaches a player.
The platform sets the constraints. A touch screen has no buttons and a thumb covers part of the display. Hardware ranges from current flagships to devices several years old, and the same build has to behave on both. Battery, heat and download size are design decisions rather than afterthoughts, and a title is often played in short sessions in unhelpful surroundings.
Release and operation differ too. Store review, staged rollouts, two very different platform ecosystems and the economics that most mobile titles are free to start all shape how a team works, long after the first launch.
PC Games and the console platforms make other trade-offs. Experience with mobile is asked for because these constraints are learned by shipping into them.
